Anderson played offensive tackle at Auburn from 1993-1995 before being drafted 10th overall in the 1996 NFL Draft to the Cincinnati Bengals. At Auburn he helped the Tigers advance to 20-1-1 overall and finished his career an All-American.

Off the field Anderson has been recognized for his outstanding community leadership and is a two-time recipient of The James Brown Community Award. Since retiring from the NFL he has established the Willie Anderson Lineman Academy which is a traveling sports academy for linemen at all playing levels. The academy’s mission statement is,

“The Willie Anderson Lineman Academy is committed to enhancing the confidence, strength, determination, agility and performance of every offensive and defensive lineman under our instruction, as they strive to be the best on every level.”
