LIMA — The Elder Victims Ministry Program of Allen County Crime Victim Service will dedicate a tree at Lima Tower on Tuesday, June 15th to coincide with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
A ceremony to commemorate the elderly victims will take place at 790 Main Street in Lima from 10:30 am.
According to Elysia Bush, director of the CVS Victims and Elderly Department program, defenders served 884 victims of crimes last year, including assault, harassment, identity theft, fraud, theft, and property crimes. did. Victim Elders staff and volunteers provide safety planning, trauma-informed care, judicial guidance, and support for legal and financial recovery.
