Host Central Hardin scored 18 runs in the first inning Tuesday night and beat Fort Knox, 18-0, in 17th District softball play.

Macey Martin had a pair of doubles, scored twice and drove in three runs and Emma Case scored three times, had two hits and knocked in three runs to spark Central’s 18-hit attack.

Jenna Smith and Case held Fort Knox hitless.

Seventh-ranked Central Hardin (20-5, 8-0 district) is at Male on Thursday. Fort Knox plays at John Hardin on Thursday.

E’TOWN 21, FORT KNOX 0. The Lady Panthers improved to 11-8 overall and 3-2 in 17th District play with a home win Tuesday over Fort Knox.

Taytum Spiers drove in three runs, while Avery Powers, Claire Springsteen and Alyssa Herringshaw knocked in two runs each to pace the Lady Panthers. Nine players had one hit each for E’town.

Avery Simpson and Alyssa Philpot each scored three runs.

Three different pitchers held Fort Knox hitless in the three-inning game.

Fort Knox is now 1-12 and 0-6 in district play.

BARDSTOWN 13, LARUE CO. 10. Bryce Neagle had three hits and Daniel Snod­grass and Jaxson Thomas added two hits each as host LaRue County fell Tuesday night to Bardstown.

The Hawks led 5-0 after two innings.

LaRue County (15-9) plays Thursday at Grayson County.

E’TOWN 14, FORT KNOX 0. Visiting Eliza­bethtown scored six runs in the first inning and rolled to an easy five-inning 17th District win.

Jacob Moberly drove in three runs with a single and double and Eli Brown had a double, triple and scored three runs for the Panthers.

E’town (15-7, 6-1) hosts Central Hardin Thursday. Fort Knox (3-10, 0-8) plays May 18 at Burgin.
