The No. 17 Oregon baseball team’s two games against Gonzaga scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday at PK Park have been canceled because of COVID-19 protocol developments within the Bulldogs program.
The Ducks were also scheduled to play at Gonzaga on Monday of this week but that game was also called off because of COVID-19 protocol developments within the Bulldogs program.

Oregon is scheduled to play Washington at home this weekend in Pac-12 Conference play beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
Oregon men’s tennis earns another NCAA tourney bid
The Oregon men’s tennis team has earned an at-large selection to the NCAA tournament and will play Alabama in a first-round match Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
The Ducks (16-6) will be making their first NCAA appearance under coach Nils Schyllander, who also led Oregon to the national tournament in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Oregon will be making its eighth overall appearance.
In addition to the Ducks and Alabama (14-11), the Waco site features No. 2 overall seed Baylor (29-4) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The winner of Saturday’s matches will play at noon Sunday for a spot in the Round of 16. Baylor and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi play at noon Saturday.

Oregon has advanced to the second round in each of its past three NCAA appearances.
Regional winners will advance to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., for the final four rounds of the national tournament. The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships (May 23-29) will follow at the same venue; selections are slated for Tuesday.
OSU soccer forward Amanda semifinalist for nation’s top player
Oregon State men’s soccer forward Gloire Amanda has been named as one of 15 semi-finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, the Missouri Athletic Club announced Tuesday.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year. From the list of semifinalists, three finalists will be selected, with the winner being announced May 27.
Amanda, who earned Pac-12 first-team honors this year, set the Oregon State record for points in a season with 37 and tied Alan Gordon for the second-highest goals total in a season with 15. Amanda led the nation in goals and points, and matched the fourth-most goals in Pac-12 history since the conference started sponsoring soccer in 2001.
Amanda is sixth in Oregon State history in career goals (25) and career points (61). He scored in 10 of the Beavers’ 14 matches, including five multi-goal games.
The Beavers finished the year 9-5 and lost to Virginia Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament over the weekend. It was the second time in the last three years Oregon State made the NCAA field.
