Lexi Kilfoyl Named Top 30 Finalist for 2021 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division 1 National Freshman of the Year | #sports | #elderly | #seniors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Alabama’s Lexi Kilfoyl was named one of 30 finalists by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for the 2021 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division National Freshman of the Year award, announced Thursday.
With the cancellation of last year’s season, this year’s finalist list consists of both 2020 and 2021 freshmen. Kilfoyl is one of six finalists from the Southeastern Conference, the most of any conference followed closely with five from the Pac-12. The list will be narrowed to a top 10 on May 13 and a top three on May 27 before the winner is announced prior to the Women’s College World Series. Montana Fouts and Alexis Osorio were previously top three finalists in 2019 and 2015, respectively.

- 11-3, 1.56 ERA, 81.0 IP, 59 H, 18 ER, 95 SO, 19 BB
- Has five wins over ranked opponents, including LSU, Auburn (x2), Tennessee and Texas A&M
- Has 10 hits, including a double and home run, with nine RBIs and 10 walks
