Golfers taking a swing at the province’s decision to shut them down are exposing the cluelessness of their cocooned world, April 28

What exactly is Shree Paradkar’s point?

That the Central Ontario chapter of the national golf course owners’ association did not use what she calls ‘its considerable social capital’ to lobby the government to aid those who do not play golf but have suffered through this pandemic ?

This Conservative government has ignored pleas from very qualified scientists as to the correct path to follow to curb the pandemic. Given that fact, I seriously doubt they would listen to the golf owners’ association’s pleas for better governance.

Her insinuation is that golf is a prestigious exclusive activity. Shree, not everyone who plays golf belongs to a golf club. How many seniors do you think go out to a public course for a 9-hole bit of exercise?

These seniors have been walking all winter long and now they just want to get out and play their favourite game, which is a lot more fun than a walk in the snow.
